Monique Brown, M.D.
Dr Brown obtained her Undergraduate Degree from State University of New York at Buffalo. She received a Bachelors degree in Anthropology and a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a concentration in Community Mental Health. Prior to medical school she worked as a nurse for the American Red Cross. She attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She received her internship in General Medicine and residency training in General Psychiatry at VCU. She received her fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at VCU.
Dr. Brown has been practicing in the Rocky Mount area for the past 10 years. Her practice has began offering primary care for the past 4 years. She believes that God is concerned about our spiritual, physical, and mental health. She has a special interest in the health, safety, and well being of children. She has dedicated her career to ensuring that children in this community have the opportunity to have a safe and nurturing environment. She is particularly interested in education and spiritual development. "It is very important to make God an integral part of our children's lives to ensure that they are able to grow into healthy adults. It is important for our children to understand that our spiritual and physical well being directs our mental well being."

Khalilah Taylor, MSN, FNP
Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Khalilah Taylor is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University and Master of Science in Nursing from University of Cincinnati. She began her career as a registered nurse, working in a variety of settings including cardiac unit, medical unit, homecare, and psychiatric care.
In her free time, Khalilah enjoys traveling, reading, and shopping. But, what she enjoys most is spending time with family and friends.
Khalilah believes in providing the same care to her patients that she would like provided to herself or her family members. She also listens attentively to the patients and encourage them to participate in their plan of care to promote a healthier lifestyle.
Sharon Mitchell, MSN, FNP
Sharon Mitchell has 20 plus years of nursing experience including telemetry, home health, mental health, and school health. She received a Bachelors in Nursing from Barton College and a Masters of Science in nursing from East Carolina University in 2009. She has over 8 years of diverse experience, especially as a Nurse Practitioner. She is affiliated with many hospitals including Wilson Medical Center. Ms. Sharon Mitchell also cooperates with other doctors and physicians in medical groups including Monique Brown, M.D., PC. Sharon Mitchell, FNP is the owner and provider at Nash Street Healthcare. She is a native of Wilson.
She is married and the mother of one son, Arrinton. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, and working in her vegetable garden.
Sharon is passionate about the welfare of all of her patients and the community in which she serves.
